Accommodations

If you are flying or driving for Beckett’s Bat Mitzvah and need overnight accommodations.

If you book space now (and do NOT use the non-refundable rates), you will pay less than if we block rooms. This way, you have a choice of hotels. During our research for venues, we found out that there are many events on the same weekend and really recommend booking a room now, even if you must cancel later.

When you enter the travel dates, you can request AAA or AARP or Senior Discount rates.

All of these hotels are a very convenient drive to the temple and event space.

In Teaneck, there are three hotels in one big complex:

Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe: https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/ewrgp-teaneck-marriott-at-glenpointe/overview/

Hampton Inn & Suites Teaneck Glenpointe: https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ewrtehx-hampton-suites-teaneck-glenpointe/

Homewood Suites by Hilton Teaneck Glenpointe: https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ewrtghw-homewood-suites-teaneck-glenpointe/

The Homewood Suites does have some suites that will sleep a family of five.

In case you want to map out locations:

Temple is Congregation Adas Emuno located at 254 Broad Avenue, Leonia, NJ 07605.

Event space for Saturday evening located at 341 Engle St, Englewood, NJ 07631

If you are a IHG member, there is also The Crowne Plaza Englewood. It may not have as many amenities as the other hotels but is clean and comfortable. Limited dining options.

If you are flying, you will need a rental car because there is no public transportation between the hotels, the temple and the event space. Or you can use Uber or Lyft if you prefer.

Parking is complimentary at the Crowne Plaza Englewood and the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.

Parking is $15.00 per day at the Hampton Inn Glenpointe and the Homewood Suites Glenpointe.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Please let us know if you do book a hotel, which hotel and what dates. Thank you.

Mitzvah Project

For my mitzvah project, I have partnered with a local dog rescue, Pawsitively Furever, to raise money and collect donations to help them with their important work.

This organization is the definition of making a difference from your own backyard. Pawsitively Furever has adopted out over 3000 dogs since it was started by Laura Witzal in 2013. All the dogs from Pawsitively Furever are fostered in homes by volunteers. They periodically hold adoption days for interested and approved families so the pups can connect with their forever home.

My whole life I’ve grown up with rescue dogs. My family’s current dog, Auggie, is also a rescue who we adore very much.  Please help in any way you can.

Donations

A collection bin will be available at the service and party for the following items:

Dog Harnesses

Dog Leashes

Collars for small dogs

Wee wee pads

Paper towels

Small blankets

Purina Pro Plan puppy food (15 lbs bags only please)

Monetary donations are also accepted and appreciated. You can write a check to Dan Pasky or Matthew Levinson and put Pawsitively in the Memo. They will organize a lump donation after my Bat Mitzvah.

You can also donate directly to Pawsitively Furever directly through Venmo to Laura Witzal (@paws-furever) or directly on their website at https://www.pawsitivelyfurever.org/donate

Let me know if you donate directly so we can keep track of all the “pawsitivity” we are doing!

xx, Beckett
